Collection and Processing
You can generally visit our website without entering personal data. When recording IP addresses, the last octet is not stored (e.g. 192.168.0.0 instead of 192.168.0.77), ensuring no personal data within the meaning of the GDPR.
Use and Disclosure
We use the data you provide strictly in accordance with legal provisions. Personal data will not be transferred to third parties without your explicit consent.
Website Visit / Cookies
During your visit we process technical access data (file name, date/time, data volume, status, browser type/version, OS, referrer URL, provider). This data cannot be assigned to identifiable persons and is not merged with other data sources.
We use session cookies to improve user experience (§ 96 (3) TKG), and – based on legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) – cookies for statistical evaluation (see Google Analytics). If you consent under Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, third-party cookies for usage analysis may be set via a consent banner.

Use of Matomo
We use Matomo on our website. Matomo is open-source software for statistical analysis of visitor traffic.
The data collected by Matomo (e.g. truncated IP address, time of visit, pages viewed, referrer URL, browser, operating system) is stored exclusively on our own server (analytics.ice.hockey) and is not shared with third parties. The IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and before storage.
Use of Cookies
Matomo uses cookies—text files stored on your device—to analyse how you use our website. The information generated by these cookies about your use of our online offering is stored on our server and is not shared with third parties.
Purpose and Legal Basis
Processing is based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to analyse website use and to continuously improve our services. By anonymising the IP address, we respect users’ interest in protecting their personal data.
Opt-out
If you do not agree to the storage and analysis of data from your visit, you can object at any time. An opt-out cookie will then be set in your browser, preventing Matomo from collecting session data.
You can also prevent any actions you take here from being analysed and linked. This will protect your privacy but also prevent the website owner from learning from your actions and improving usability.
